With a history in dance, gymnastics and movement training, Michelle’s path led her to the study of yoga in 2001. She started
teaching Spanish Yoga classes in Peru as a Peace Corps volunteer in 2006, received her Yoga Teacher Certification from Mount Madonna Center in California, and is a Registered Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance. Currently, Michelle works for a local non-profit, Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization, and has taught yoga in Spanish through IRCO as well as Hacienda CDC.
Her intention is to create a safe, comfortable space where students can open up to their natural, creative flow of love and awareness in every moment. Through the practice of yoga, including meditation, pranayama and asana, Michelle leads students to discover their innate healing and nurturing power.
